Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you buy from G.T. Container Services Inc.

Last updated August 30, 2026

These terms apply to all sales made by G.T. Container Services Inc. (“we”, “us”) to you, the purchaser. Placing an order means you accept them. Please read them before you buy.

1. About us

G.T. Container Services Inc. / G.T. Service de Conteneurs Inc., a corporation incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act, corporation number 442541-3, business number 845844588RC0001, with its address at 10,000 Maurice Duplessis Blvd., Montréal, Quebec H1C 2A2, Canada. Email info@gtcontainerservices.ca.

2. Orders

An order placed on this website is an offer to buy. It is not accepted until we confirm availability and issue an invoice. We may decline an order where stock is unavailable, where a price or description was published in error, or where we cannot deliver to your location.

3. Prices

Prices shown against a product are in Canadian dollars and are for the container only. They exclude delivery, site preparation, permits, and applicable GST, QST or HST. Prices may change without notice; the price that applies is the one stated on your invoice.

Where a price is obviously incorrect due to a typographical or system error, we are not obliged to honour it and will contact you before proceeding.

4. Payment

Cleared funds are required before dispatch. Accepted methods and deposit terms are set out in our Payment Policy, which forms part of these terms.

5. Delivery

Delivery within our published service area is charged at a flat rate of $550 CAD plus applicable taxes, added at checkout. Deliveries outside that area, and any crane, forklift or redelivery charges, are quoted separately and confirmed in writing before payment. Lead times are estimates and are not guaranteed. You are responsible for site access, ground conditions, foundations, snow clearing and any permits required. Full detail is in our Shipping & Delivery Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Risk in the container passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes to you when we receive payment in full.

6. Condition and description

Containers are sold by grade. Photographs on this website are representative of the grade and type; the specific unit you receive may differ in colour, markings and cosmetic condition. Used containers will show wear consistent with their grade — see our Container Condition & Grading Guide.

Dimensions are nominal and vary slightly between manufacturers. If an exact measurement is critical to your project, ask us to confirm it for the specific unit before ordering.

7. Cancellation and returns

Your cancellation and return rights are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Warranty

Warranty cover, exclusions and claims are set out in our Warranty Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Confirming that a container may lawfully be placed at your location, including any municipal zoning, borough permit or landlord requirement.
  • Ensuring the site is accessible, cleared of snow and adequately prepared on the delivery date.
  • Any modification you carry out after delivery, and its compliance with applicable building and safety codes.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for the container. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of use, or damage to goods stored in the container.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for bodily or moral injury, and nothing here reduces the rights of a consumer under Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act or the legal warranty of quality under the Civil Code of Québec.

11. Events beyond our control

We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, road closures, ferry disruption, carrier failure, labour action, port or depot closures, and government restrictions.

12. Website content

Content on this website is provided for information. We take care to keep it accurate but do not warrant that it is free of error. Text and images on this site are our property or used with permission and may not be reproduced without consent.

13. Privacy

We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Language

The parties have requested that these terms and all related documents be drawn up in English. Les parties ont demandé que les présentes conditions ainsi que tous les documents s’y rattachant soient rédigés en anglais. A French version is available on request.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Quebec. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Montréal.

16. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the version published when your order was accepted.

17. Contact
