About Us

Who we are, how we buy, and why we publish our prices.

We sell steel boxes and we tell you the truth about them

G.T. Container Services Inc. supplies new, used and modified shipping containers from our yard on Maurice Duplessis Blvd. in Montréal, serving Quebec, Ontario and the Maritime provinces. We handle everything from a 10ft storage unit for a back lot to a fully fitted 40ft office cabin.

We are federally incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act, corporation number 442541-3. You can verify that yourself on the Corporations Canada register — and in this industry, you should.

Why our prices are on the page

Most container sellers make you fill in a form and wait for a callback. That is not a courtesy — it is a pricing tactic, and it wastes your afternoon.

Every unit in our inventory carries a real, current price in Canadian dollars, and delivery is a published flat rate rather than a mystery. You can compare sizes, compare grades, and work out a budget before you speak to anyone.

How we grade

Container grading is not standardised across the industry, which is exactly how buyers end up disappointed. A unit sold as “good used condition” by one yard is sold as “wind and water tight” by another and “cargo worthy” by a third.

We inspect every unit before it is listed and state the grade on the product page. If a unit has a patch repair, heavy surface rust or a previous owner’s livery still on the side, we say so. Our Condition & Grading Guide sets out exactly what each grade means in practice.

One delivery price, published like everything else

Delivery is the part of a container purchase that most often goes wrong, and the part most yards keep vague. We charge a flat $550 to anywhere in Quebec, Ontario or the Maritimes. A 40ft high-cube to Rimouski costs the same to deliver as a 20ft dropped in Laval.

That is a simpler promise than a quote, and it means the number in your cart is the number you pay before tax. What it does not cover — crane placement, redelivery after a failed attempt, ground works — is listed plainly in our Shipping & Delivery Policy rather than buried.

If your site will not take a tilt-bed delivery, we will tell you that before you order, not on the day the driver arrives.

We know the climate you are siting these in

Frost heave, spring thaw, ice loading and snow clearance are not footnotes here — they are the difference between a container that still seals in year three and one that does not. We will talk you through foundation and placement for a Quebec winter before you buy, not after.

What we supply

  • Standard containers — 10ft, 16ft, 20ft, 30ft and 40ft, in standard and high-cube heights.
  • Specialist units — open-side, double-door, roll-up door and refrigerated shells.
  • Cabins and offices — jackleg cabins, anti-vandal site offices, canteens and welfare units.
  • Restroom blocks — plumbed toilet, shower and urinal units for sites and events.
  • Custom conversions — built to your specification, from a single extra door to a full fit-out.

Who we work with

Contractors and site managers who need secure storage that arrives on schedule. Farms and rural businesses looking for dry, lockable space. Retailers and hospitality operators converting containers into bars, kiosks and pop-ups. Homeowners who need a workshop, a studio or somewhere to put the contents of a garage.

Talk to us before you buy

If you are not sure which size fits your site, whether your ground will take a delivery, or what grade you actually need for the job, call the yard. We would rather spend ten minutes on the phone than process a return.
