Returns & Refunds Policy

Your cancellation and return rights, how refunds are processed, and what is excluded.

Last updated August 30, 2026

Your right to cancel

You may cancel an order for a full refund at any time before the container has been dispatched for delivery. Contact us as early as possible — once a unit has been loaded and a carrier booked, cancellation charges may apply.

Returns after delivery

You may return a standard, unmodified container within 14 calendar days of delivery, provided it is in the same condition as when it was delivered and has not been modified, painted, cut, drilled, mounted to a foundation, or used for storage.

To start a return, contact us with your order number and photographs of the unit in place. We will confirm whether the return is accepted and arrange collection.

Return costs

Where a return is because you changed your mind, the following are deducted from your refund:

  • The original outbound delivery charge of $550.
  • The cost of collecting the container from your site.
  • A restocking fee of up to 15% of the container price, where the unit requires cleaning or remedial work.

Where the return is because we supplied the wrong unit, or the unit was not as described, we cover all collection and redelivery costs and refund you in full, including taxes.

Items that cannot be returned

The following are non-returnable except where faulty or not as described:

  • Modified, converted or custom-built units — including offices, cabins, restroom blocks and any container altered to your specification.
  • Containers that have been painted, branded, cut, welded, drilled or otherwise altered after delivery.
  • Containers that have been permanently installed, anchored, or connected to services.
  • Containers sold as clearance or “as-is” where the condition was disclosed at the point of sale.

Damaged or incorrect deliveries

If your container arrives damaged or is not the unit you ordered, tell us within 48 hours of delivery. Note the issue on the delivery paperwork where possible and send us photographs. We will repair, replace or refund at our cost, and we will agree the remedy with you rather than imposing one.

How refunds are issued

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, in Canadian dollars. Refunds are typically processed within 5 to 10 business days of the container being collected and inspected. Where a container is collected, the refund is processed after inspection at our yard, not at the point of collection. Any sales tax charged is refunded proportionately.

We will confirm the refund amount in writing, itemising any deductions, before it is processed.

Your rights under Quebec law

If you are a consumer as defined by the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec), you have statutory rights that this policy does not and cannot reduce — including the legal warranty of quality, which requires that goods be fit for their intended use for a reasonable period. Nothing on this page limits those rights. Where this policy is more generous than the law, this policy applies.

Business and commercial purchasers contract on the terms set out here and in our Terms & Conditions.

Condition expectations on used units

Used containers are sold by grade. Surface rust, dents, patch repairs, faded paint and previous owners’ markings are normal on cargo-worthy and wind-and-water-tight units and are not grounds for a return. Read our Container Condition & Grading Guide before ordering if you are unsure what a grade means.
