Are the prices on your website the final price?
The price shown against a container is the container alone, in Canadian dollars. Delivery is added at checkout at a flat $550, so the cart shows you the full pre-tax total. GST/QST or HST is added on the invoice we email you before payment.
Do I have to buy online?
No. You can order through the website, or contact us and we will handle it directly. Online orders are not charged automatically — we confirm availability and email an invoice first.
Can I see the container before I buy?
For units held at our Montréal yard, yes — contact us ahead to arrange a time. Units held at partner depots cannot usually be viewed, but we can send additional photographs of the specific container.
Do you sell to businesses and public bodies?
Yes. We supply contractors, farms, schools, municipalities and provincial agencies. Our GST/HST and QST registration numbers appear on every invoice so registrants can claim their input tax credits.
Delivery
How much does delivery cost?
A flat $550 to any address in Quebec, Ontario or the Maritimes, regardless of distance or container size. It is added automatically at checkout. Deliveries outside that area are quoted individually — contact us with your postal code.
What is not covered by the flat rate?
The $550 covers a standard tilt-bed delivery to an accessible, prepared site. Crane or forklift placement, redelivery after a failed attempt, site preparation, permits and moving a container once set down are all charged separately. See our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
I am buying more than one container. Is it still $550?
Each container generally needs its own truck, so contact us before checking out on a multi-unit order and we will confirm the delivery arrangement and cost for the whole order.
Where do you deliver, and how long does it take?
We deliver across Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes from our Montréal yard, all at the same flat rate. Greater Montréal is typically 2 to 4 business days after payment clears; Quebec and eastern Ontario 3 to 7; southern Ontario and New Brunswick 5 to 10; Nova Scotia, PEI and Newfoundland 7 to 14. Deliveries further west are quoted case by case.
How much space do I need?
For a tilt-bed delivery, allow roughly twice the container length of straight, level approach — around 60 ft (18 m) for a 20ft container and 100 ft (30 m) for a 40ft — plus about 12 ft (3.7 m) of width and 15 ft (4.6 m) of overhead clearance.
What kind of ground do I need?
Firm and reasonably level, able to support a loaded truck. Gravel, compacted dirt, concrete and asphalt all work. Soft mud, sand, fresh fill and unset asphalt do not, and are the most common cause of a failed delivery.
What about winter deliveries?
We deliver year round, but the approach and placement area must be cleared of snow and ice before the truck arrives — drivers will not clear snow. During the spring thaw, ground that carried a truck in January may not in April. Tell us when you are booking and we will advise on timing.
Do I need a foundation?
Not strictly, but we strongly recommend supporting the four corners on railway ties, concrete blocks or a prepared pad. This matters more here than in milder climates: frost heave can lift one corner over a winter, and a container that sits twisted stops sealing at the doors.
Do I need to be there?
Yes — someone over 18 must be on site to direct placement and sign for the unit.
Can you place it in an exact spot?
Usually, provided the driver can safely reach it. Tell us about tight access, slopes or overhead obstructions in advance so we send the right equipment.
Do I need a permit?
Sometimes. Requirements vary by municipality, and in Montréal they vary by borough. Obtaining any permit is your responsibility — check with your borough or municipality before you order.
Condition & specification
What condition are your containers in?
We stock one-trip (near new), cargo-worthy, and wind-and-water-tight units, plus modified builds. Every unit is inspected and the grade is stated on the listing. See the Condition & Grading Guide.
Will the container be the colour in the photo?
Photographs are representative of the grade and type. Used containers vary in colour and markings. If colour matters, ask us — or choose a one-trip unit, where the colour is specified.
Are containers waterproof?
They are wind-and-water tight, meaning they keep weather out. They are not airtight or insulated, so condensation can form inside — and in the Quebec climate, with wide temperature swings, it is pronounced. Vents or insulation solve this and we can fit both.
Are they secure?
Corten steel walls and lockable cargo doors are inherently secure. We recommend adding a lock box, which shields a puck lock from bolt cutters, on any unit left unattended.
Modifications
Can containers be modified?
Yes — roll-up doors, personnel doors, windows, insulation, electrics, HVAC, partitions, shelving and full office or restroom fit-outs. Many modified units are already in stock; anything else can be built to your specification. For year-round occupied use in this climate, ask us about insulation and heating rather than treating them as optional.
How long does a custom build take?
It depends on the specification. Simple additions such as a personnel door or vents are quick; a full office or restroom fit-out takes longer. We give you a lead time in writing with your quote.
Payment, tax & after-sales
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard and American Express at checkout, processed by Stripe. Or, against an invoice, Interac e-Transfer, EFT, bank wire and certified cheque. See our Payment Policy.
What tax will I pay?
It depends where the container is delivered: GST plus QST in Quebec, HST in Ontario and the Maritimes. Tax applies to the delivery charge as well as the container. Rates and details are in our Sales Tax Policy.
How do I know a payment request is genuine?
Our banking details never change mid-order. If you receive an email saying they have, do not act on it — telephone us to verify. See our Security Policy.
Can I return a container?
Standard unmodified containers can be returned within 14 days of delivery if unaltered and unused, subject to collection costs and a restocking fee. Custom and modified units are non-returnable. Consumers also have statutory rights under Quebec law that this does not affect. See our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, and the cover depends on grade — from 3 months on wind-and-water-tight units to 12 months on new, one-trip and modified builds. This is in addition to the legal warranty of quality. See our Warranty Policy.
